SEASON platform //

The know-how on how to deliver a 7-day training on social entrepreneurship. This platform is built for educators or local change-makers who want to teach a group of people how to build a small business.

Intro

Welcome to the SEASON Toolkit. This is a comprehensive resource designed to support educators and local change-makers in delivering impactful workshops on sustainable entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and employability. This toolkit is a culmination of insights and learnings from the SEASON project and training which was held in one tiny village in Spain. We brought together young people from Poland, Italy, and Spain to (learn) build their small projects and social businesses. Then we broke down the whole process and published it here. It means that now you can organize your event by using our sessions. Whether you are an educator looking to inspire your students, or a community leader aiming to empower local entrepreneurs, the SEASON Toolkit has everything you need to get started. From workshop programs and activities to additional resources and materials, this toolkit is your go-to guide for fostering entrepreneurship and driving positive change in your community.

What is Season

The SEASON is a project aimed at fostering sustainable entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and employability through immersive workshops and practical learning experiences. The project brings together educators, local change-makers, and individuals seeking to build and manage small businesses with a focus on sustainability and social impact.

image

Structure of this toolkit

The SEASON Toolkit is divided into several key sections, each designed to provide you with the necessary tools and resources for conducting successful workshops. This includes a detailed workshop program, covering activities for each day, along with their descriptions and objectives. The toolkit also includes additional resources such as videos, images, and external links to support the workshop content.

How to use this toolkit?

The toolkit is designed to be flexible and adaptable to your specific needs. Whether you are an educator looking to inspire your students, or a community leader aiming to empower local entrepreneurs, you may check it out how we organize and deliver teaching part and then you may borrow and use what you like.

Hands-on experience

During the project, we were building prototypes with tools, papers, wood, and whatever we could find in the tool workshop

THE PROGRAM Here is the agenda with our program from the Season. We re-recorded theoretical sessions. It means that you may go through them, and build your presentation with our takeaways (borrow what you like and adapt it to your context).

Print

Many trainers prefer to have printed sessions so they can work on top of paper. No problem. Print sessions here..

Community work

We organize a “Community work” during all of our events. It is part of the program but not necessarily related to the topic itself.

Participants get to play with tools, help the village (your neighborhood) build, get dirty, and be creative. It’s organized usually during the second half of the event to strengthen the group even more.

TIP FOR THE TRAINER:

During our small business presentation (Day 2), we unexpectedly paused our presentation to connect live with a Polish entrepreneur. He was selling locally brewed beers from his hipster van and he connected with his camera in a live broadcast. We witnessed him serving customers. This interruption engaged our participants and allowed them to connect with a real small business owner. The abruptness of the interruption created a shock, similar to a TV interruption during the breaking news.

Tips for trainers

In this program, we share useful tips for youth trainers like this one with “TV interruption”

Time of sessions

Each session has a proposed timing. Please keep in mind that this timing is for groups of 20 to 25 people.

Intercultural 🇵🇱🇪🇸 🇮🇹 nights

Hey, you might notice that we didn’t organize any intercultural night. If you attended the Erasmus+ project you might notice that most organizations organize intercultural evenings where everyone hangs their flag, and then they present their traditional dances and liquors. We don’t like flags and we think that you are more than your flag. Not everyone has the same feeling about their national flag, and they are often not represented by one. Instead, we like to cook together and discover other cultures through the cuisine (or through the positive conflict in the kitchen). Or we like to discover each other's urban cultures instead of traditional dances.

Good practices

We researched some good examples of small businesses. You may read about them here and we will be uploading some interesting programs right here:

SEASON Community Platform:

Hey, we are also testing one new platform which is designed in Iceland by our partners. Our SEASON channel is still in the experimental phase and right now we are testing it, but you may join the test too.

At the heart of the SEASON Community Platform are 'Submissions' - the driving force behind our collaborative ecosystem. It's where you can add your questions, suggestions, and ideas, and others can join to comment, give you feedback and help out.
